Get Rest

As we get ready for bed, and we review the day, the mistakes made, problems we have not solved. Something great happens when we sleep. We are renewed and restored again, to face the new day. We may wake up with the same problems, but we now have the strength and courage to face the day.

The morning is an important time, God has the sun rise. He is eager for us to get up and talk with Him again.

This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Get up look in the mirror, smile and say “Today is going to be great.”

Listen for God

Today will be a good day. All you have to do is listen for instruction from God. Be determined to stay in touch with God. Listen for his instruction.

You may have a plan for your day, but God may have a better plan for you. Be brave enough to follow the feel in your heart. Stay tuned to his voice and let him lead you today.

Psalm: 1-2 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in is law he meditates day and night.

An ideal person-one who walks in the world, but is unaffected by the world.

Biblical meditation is focusing the mind on scripture.

Start out on the Right Foot

Can you imagine having a better day? Do you always seem to get started on the wrong foot? When you get up in the morning everything is going well, then someone offends you. it Could have been the driver who cut you off during the morning commute, your spouse says something hurtful, your youngest child wakes you up early. What ever the cause you seem to carry it with you all day. You have a limp in your step for the rest of the day. Or you could start your day in a rush, and never seem to catch up.

Psalm 94:18 If I say “My foot slips,” Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.

The good news is if your feet are securely planted in God’s Word, you will have a better day. God’s Word will direct, support, and strength you, when you use it. The key is to use God’s Word.
